Housing Specialist (171) Perth Amboy, NJ (20302, 20722)

Description:


  • Seeking a fulltime (35 hour per week) Housing Specialist to work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide services to young adults in a transitional living program.
  • The Housing Specialist will be responsible for building a rapport and good communication with landlords; securing and inspecting housing units; oversight of daily property management functions including lease up, unit inspections, and providing housing education.
  • The Housing Specialist will be responsible for securing new units on an ongoing basis and developing partnerships with landlords in the community, being a point of contact for questions and issues that arise.
  • This is a unique opportunity to gain experience in program implementation utilizing the housing first model for young adults experiencing housing instability.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience working in affordable housing/property management setting.
  • Previous housing case management experience a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
  • Flexible work schedule with some evening hours required.
