SUMMARY
Adeptus Solutions Inc. is hiring a General Clerk III to support the Army National Guard (ARNG) - Recruit Sustainment Program (RSP) Services.
The RSP General Clerk III is responsible for administrative functions and quality control in support of new ARNG enlistment recruit documents, assist coordinating shipping dates for new recruits, and timely response to administrative issues from the time of enlistment through the transition to their ARNG unit.
Will be supervised by the contract General Clerk III Lead within their assigned state of work and the Regional Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The RSP General Clerk III plans and executes administrative and personnel functions in support of preparing Recruits for Initial Entry Training (IET).
- Interview Recruit Warriors on administrative, medical, educational, and other topics as needed.
- Monitor Recruits for potential retention issues and make every effort to assist in mitigating those issues or process them for separation.
- Assist in the Management of IET ship dates within prescribed periods to ensure maximum training seat utilization.
- Provide qualitative screening to ensure Recruits are administratively correct.
- Communicate with the Retention Manager, MEPS Guidance Counselors, and the United States Army Training & Doctrine Command (TRADOC) Liaisons regarding Initial Active-Duty Training (IADT) Warriors issues.
- Maintain the Vulcan Database System and perform daily input/reporting to actions relating to Recruits' training.
- Provide quality control for all documentation in the Recruit Warriors shipper packet.
- Maintain employment eligibility training/certification requirements.
- Upload shipper documents into Vulcan Database System.
- Monitor Recruit Warriors at training using the Army Training Requirements & Recourses System (ATRRS) tab in Vulcan Database System for "Pending Actions" and report issues.
- Provide Vulcan Database System and Director's Personnel Readiness Overview (DPRO) reports as requested.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable Tier 1 Background Investigation.
- Must have an intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be able to interact with a wide variety of staff.
- Must be able to deal with confidential information.
- Must reason and analyze problems and work on solutions.
- Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision and be exceedingly well organized and flexible.
- Must have one year of related experience or a combination of education to successfully perform the position's duties.
Must have excellent professional interpersonal and communication skills required to collaborate professionally with various counterparts and stakeholders both orally and in writing.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Recruiting and Retention or Military Unit Administration is preferred.
- Knowledge of Shipper Quality Control, Vulcan Database System input, and the administrative processes of the National Guard Recruiting is preferred.
- Knowledgeable in Army National Guard enlisted programs and benefits.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Frequent sitting, using hands/fingers, handling, reaching with depth perception and the ability to adjust focus; occasional walking or standing, occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed primarily in an office setting. Employees will be exposed to a wide variety of people in differing functions and personalities.
**WORK SCHEDULE
Monday - Friday, work hours 07:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. May require flexible work schedule. (Onsite Work)
