AccuMedical USA Inc. is looking for an experience R&D Technician to join our innovative and dynamic team in Costa Mesa, California.

At weekly project update meetings, you will learn about colleagues' projects that are in various stages of development, from early conceptualization to those about to start clinical trials.

As an R&D Technician, you will work alongside our project leads on a range of tasks associated with product development.


AccuMedical is focused on developing innovative therapies for neurovascular products that will address global unmet medical conditions and patient needs.

This position is part of a New Product Development (NPD) team, primarily responsible for front-end innovation and design, delivering novel products to address unmet needs.

Essential Responsibilities of the R&D Technician include:

  • Fabricate prototypes, pilot units, qualifications units, and validation units
  • Perform test, collect data, record results and analyze data
  • Provides support or builds parts for engineering evaluation, preclinical and clinical studies, and commercial sales
  • Assist Engineers for preparation of work instructions, standard operating procedures, protocols, test methods, and reports
  • Work closely with Engineers to develop, build, troubleshoot, and test prototypes/devices
  • Schedule, track, coordinate, and/or perform calibration and PM of equipment
  • Recognize problems and take corrective action
  • Create/draft documentation for manufacturing processes
  • Train operators on manufacturing processes
  • Create/design fixtures
  • Assist with creating or modifying drawings and procedures for fixtures, equipment, products, or processes
  • Supports production or process development or DCO process as required
  • Setup, adjust and operate laboratory equipment and instruments

Education and Experience:


  • High School Diploma or Associate's Degree (preferred)
  • 24 years of experience as a technician in medical device industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have experience in basic equipment operating skills, tool setup, and lab tools
  • Comprehension of technical documents, drawings, schematics, and instructions
  • Experience in braiding equipment, fume hoods, coiling and/or chemical processing preferred
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Principles (GMP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
  • General Computer skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Familiarity with Solidworks
  • Ability to complete task with little to no supervision

Physical Requirements:

  • Extended periods of standing or sitting

Pay:
$ $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
