About us:

Senior Psych Care provides fully integrative behavioral health services to the long-term care patient, at their facility.

Services include individual, family, and group therapies; along with diagnostic evaluation and collaborative intervention between the therapy team and the psychiatric team.

Our multi-disciplinary team realizes that older adults have special physical, emotional, and social needs.

The psychiatrist leads a team of nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and psychotherapists (LCSW, PhD/PsyD), take a comprehensive approach to diagnosis and treatment.

The
Patient Care Coordinator works within the Referral Department and is primarily responsible for securing Referral paperwork from Nursing Facilities and creating and maintaining the schedule for Psychology and Psychiatry providers.

The Patient Care/ Referral Coordinator facilitates referral management working with providers, patients, and the health plans to share essential patient information and assist primarily in scheduling and care authorization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Verifying patients insurance coverage with Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial Healthcare carriers.
Obtaining preauthorizations from Health Insurance plans.
Answer incoming and make outgoing calls to secure referrals and authorizations from providers and insurance companies.
Ensure that referrals are addressed accurately and in a timely fashion.
Ensure all authorizations are properly documented in the system.
Scanning documents into the EMR system.

Qualifications:

Medical insurance experience.
Experience verifying patients insurance coverage with Medicare, Medicaid and Major Health plans
Experience obtaining preauthorizations from health plans.
Able to multitask, personable, and have excellent customer service skills.
Selfstarter with a positive teamwork attitude, well organized and detail oriented.
