    Vice President of Marketing - Tyler, United States - Cavender's

    Overview

    The VP of Marketing is an executive management position that leads Cavender's marketing team. This role will drive the marketing strategy and achieve the desired business results for the company. This leader focuses on creating and implementing the strategic brand vision for the company and will drive customer acquisition, foot traffic and loyalty. The VP of Marketing will inspire the strategic vision, voice, and style of the Cavender's brand. They will conduct market research, set goals, implement plans, execute the vision and maintain the appropriate image of the company. The VP of Marketing will inspire creativity in graphic designers, photo studio, digital team, customer relationship management, public relations and events, and supporting staff. This role heavily supports Merchandising, Ecommerce and Store Operations. The position reports to the Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer. This role requires a high degree of partnership, collaboration and flexibility to get the job done, while bringing together a common vision across multiple departments. The role requires strong leadership, possessing a driven, highly detailed and creative skill-set. This role must be determined to deliver results through continuous improvement of Cavender customers' all-around experience. This role has a keen focus on the customer experience, professionalism and partnerships, internally and externally to Cavender's.

    Duties and Responsibilities
    • Support the "Cavender's Culture" and drive our Mission, Vision, and Values
    • Serve as a strategic partner and key support resource to the company
    • Oversee and lead team of creative director, public relations, digital, CRM and others to drive business results for the company
    • Develop strategies for products and service that will increase brand awareness, attracting and retaining customers
    • Develop, nurture and protect the Cavender brand standards
    • Inspire and nurture creativity and quality in the work across the marketing department
    • Review current trends and advertising to determine the effectiveness of different styles and strategies
    • Analyze KPIs and metrics to determine the optimum return on investment for marketing
    • Research competitors to stay current and ahead of the market trends
    • Work closely with the Merchandising and Ecommerce teams to ensure that Marketing is delivering exceptional internal service in order to drive the business successfully
    • Collaborate with all executive partners to maximize the efficiency and success of the business as a whole
    • Work with Creative Director to determine and develop the best content types (text, visuals, and video) to serve to the customer
    • Work with Creative Director to create Visual Merchandising Standards and create an excellent customer experience through Visual Merchandising
    • Make focused decisions based on brand integrity and company values to ensure an understanding of our core customer for highest customer satisfaction
    • Set and execute marketing budgets
    • Lead talent management within the marketing department
    • Set priorities, foster cohesion and provide motivation to cross-functional teams
    • Performs other related duties as assigned
    Qualifications and Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business Management, or related field or equivalent work experience
    • 12+ years of progressive and successful experience marketing
    • 8+ years of successful experience in marketing leadership roles with a track record of meeting company KPI's and business objectives
    • 5+ years of progressive experience and knowledge in the retail environment
    • In-depth knowledge of brand development in a multi-channel retail environment
    • Demonstratable experience designing and implementing successful marketing campaigns
    • Successful track record in building and maintaining a strong company brand
    • Solid knowledge and practical experience with Digital Marketing, CRM, SEO and Analytics
    • Proficient in Mac operating system, Adobe CCS, Microsoft Office Suite
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Adaptable and flexible style that fosters collaboration while delivering results
    • Based in Tyler, TX at our home office; Tyler area residence
    • Ability to travel to meet the needs of the company, 15% on average

    • Knowledge of western fashion, lifestyle and culture
    • Ability to handle confidential materials and matters with maximum discretion
    • Demonstrated success in eliciting cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management and other departments
    • Functional expertise in a blend of Marketing, Ecommerce, and Merchandising with the ability to organize and manage workload
    • Keen eye for identifying and cultivating creative talent
    • Superior project management skills with an ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic environment
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Strong persuasive, encouraging and motivating skills
    • Experience at working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
    • Ability to transform strategy and direction into actionable plans
