- Directly supervise the provision of care to community residents, guaranteeing that their emotional, physical, psychological, and safety requirements are met through all programs and activities.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director to organize family/resident care conferences and act as a direct link between residents, families, and staff.
- Work with residents, families, and colleagues to ensure residents receive the appropriate level of care.
- Manage labor expenses, supplies, and other items in the clinical budget.
- Generate required weekly and monthly reports.
- Oversee documentation systems to meet all regulatory assessment and service plan review timeframes, ensuring resident needs are fulfilled.
- Compose and review residents' assessments/evaluations and care/service-plans with the relevant staff.
- Evaluate potential residents for community admission and care level determination.
- Organize and conduct new resident orientation sessions.
- Develop, plan, schedule, and supervise staff training programs and in-service sessions, including mandatory training.
- Participate in all mandatory training, in-services, and staff meetings.
- Coordinate and manage the nursing department/clinical staff of the community, sharing vital resident health and safety information.
- Maintain a secure work environment by preventing accidents, preserving equipment, and promoting safe working practices.
- Ensure compliance with state regulatory standards, including mandatory reporting to the State. Ensure all incidents and concerns are appropriately documented and followed up on.
- Participate in or execute mock surveys.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards residents, visitors, families, and colleagues while adhering to all Company policies and procedures.
- Visit residents in hospital/rehab as assigned.
- Organize and communicate with leadership, residents, associates, and families about annual flu clinics and TB testing.
- Participate in assigned community Wellness Programs.
- Be available for MOD weekend and holiday coverage as needed.
- Act as a backup member of the sales team.
- Follow the on-call schedule as assigned.
- Assist residents in identifying and resolving social or other issues.
- Provide 24/7 on-call clinical support.
- Attend training sessions at the community and maintain up-to-date monthly, quarterly, and annual training through the designated Learning Management System (LMS).
- Perform other duties as assigned that contribute to the community's success and the well-being, comfort, and happiness of residents.
- Educational qualifications required to obtain a state nursing license (LPN/LVN or RN). 3 years of clinical leadership experience preferred. Proficiency in basic technology and electronic documentation.
- Ability to demonstrate sound judgment and make independent clinical decisions in routine and emergency resident care situations.
- High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential matters and documentation.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and flexible hours to meet residents' needs.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel for resident assessments and required professional development trainings.
- Current RN or LPN licensure in good standing.
