    ABOUT THE POSITION


    VHB's Hauppauge, NY office is seeking an Entry Level Site/Civil Engineer to join our team to support our land development projects.

    Responsibilities

    Work within a team of professionals in developing site civil engineering plans and specifications for a multitude of land development projects
    Conducting site visits and assisting with construction oversight
    Civil engineering for site design including grading and drainage design, and utility design site
    Assist with the preparation of permitting, design, and construction documents
    Preparing plans and technical documents and reports

    Skills and Attributes

    Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
    Self-motivated
    Attention to detail
    Ability to think critically
    Excel at working in a team environment

    Qualifications

    BS in Civil Engineering or related field
    0-1 year of professional site/civil engineering experience
    AutoCAD, HydroCAD and StormCAD experience a plus
    Civil 3D and Site OPS a plus
    Experience with GIS Systems a plus
    Knowledge of state, county and local regulations a plus

    Hiring Salary Range - $72,000 - $78,000. However, the final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, and experience.
