If you enjoy fixing things and have always been interested in mechanical components or machines, then the profession of industrial mechanic, specializing in maintenance, is perfect for you.

During your 3-year training, you will learn how to identify and repair major maintenance and complex machine malfunctions.

With the skills you acquire, you will also be able to manufacture and assemble damaged machine parts, making this profession diverse and interesting.

You will be responsible for ensuring that the machines run smoothly and that production runs without errors. After successfully completing your training, we prefer to hire you as an industrial mechanic in our mechanical maintenance department.

If you wish to further your education, we will support you in pursuing qualifications such as a master's degree, technician, technical specialist, or technical business administrator.


You should become an industrial mechanic if:

  • You enjoy seeing the results of your work.
  • You are fascinated by the design and inner workings of large machines.
  • You have a strong understanding of math and technology.
You may want to consider a different profession if:

  • You are sensitive to noise.
  • You are impatient, as some tasks require a lot of time and concentration.
  • You do not enjoy hands-on work in general.
