We want to make flying as ubiquitous as the road and as safe as the elevator.GUIDANCE, NAVIGATION AND CONTROL ENGINEER
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with all Guidance, Navigation, and Control functions and analysis activities including dynamic trajectory planning and Flight Envelope Protection design Support GNC design specifications generation, validation and verification activitiesGenerate documentation for design, analysis, specification and test procedures and resultsDevelop analysis tools and algorithm using a Matlab/Simulink environment Support Hardware in the Loop (HIL) and flight test activitiesWork in a collaborative manner with other engineering disciplines such as Perception, Safety, Certification and Systems, Flight Test and lines of business as appropriatePerform other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Controls, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering 3+ years of professional working experienceProficiency in Matlab/SimulinkKnowledge in programming in C++ and PythonFamiliarity with Git and JIRADemonstrated competence with multivariable system modeling and control, analysis and simulation in aircraft applications
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree or PhD in an engineering discipline5+ years of professional working experienceDemonstrated competence with multivariable system modeling and control, analysis and simulation in aircraft applicationsDemonstrated experience with Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) architectures and deployment in aerospace applications is highly desired.
Salary Range:
$110,000 - $170,000Valuable stock option planHeavily subsidized medical, dental and vision plansFull-time employees are eligible for 20 days of paid time off (PTO) and 5 sick days annually. PTO and sick days must be used in accordance with Company policy.
