Brief Description of Duties


The Admissions Program Assistant serves as an integral part of the admissions team at the University of the District of Columbia, Workforce Development and Lifelong Learning Division (UDC-WDLL).

The incumbent will report to the Admissions Specialist and serve as the team lead for the UDC-WDLL Admissions Team.

Responsibilities:


  • Provides supports and ensures compliance with all related District, University, and/or program specific standards and requirements related to all admissions activities, special projects and responsibilities.
  • Strictly maintains the confidentiality, privacy, and security of student records and other sensitive information in accordance with division, university, and external regulations and policies.
  • Participates in coordinating, leading, and facilitating admissions workshops, presentations, and activities.
  • Manages and prioritizes multiple and complex assignments/projects simultaneously.
  • Assists with managing file maintenance, archiving, and managing of paper and electronic/digital filing systems, and mail system activities.
  • Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored by the University.
  • Assists in preparing Quarterly Statistical reports, as well as a variety of other reports for programs. In this connection, the incumbent uses his/her skills to gather information from a variety of sources and to format, edit and type data.
  • Work effectively and collaboratively with all division unit leaders and teams.
Minimum Job Requirements

  • Associate Degree required. Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Previous experience in Admissions and Recruitment experience required. Office Administration Preferred.

Collective Bargaining Unit (Union): This position is in the collective bargaining unit represented by AFSCME local 2087 and you may be required to pay an agency service fee through direct payroll deduction.
