Minimum Requirements:


  • Associate degree with 23 years health and safetyrelated experience preferred.
  • Must have solid computer and organizational skills.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License and maintain a good driving record.
  • Must submit and pass background, DOT drug/alcohol screening, and reference check.
  • Must submit and pass a nonDOT physical.

Job Qualifications:

Hydro Resources is a leading company in the water well industry for both drilling and servicing. We are hiring a talented Safety Trainer to join our team. This position will report to the MDC Creedmoor Safety Manager.

The primary function of this position will be to lead lecture and classroom discussion for both new hire orientation and reoccurring training.

The secondary function of this position will be to assist the Safety Manager in various aspects of the corporate safety program.

To be proficient in this position you must possess:


  • Passion to teach and assist in developing new course material and create/maintain a training syllabus.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills (bilingual/Spanish speaking is a plus).
  • Proficiency in Windows operating system, cloudbased systems, electronic databases, and Office36
  • General knowledge of current health and safety laws and regulations.
  • General knowledge of DOT rules and regulations applicable to CMV/CDL drivers.
  • OSHA 10 and 30 Hour Trainer or ability to obtain an OSHA Trainer certification.
  • First Aid/CPR Trainer or ability to obtain a CPR Trainer certification.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities (included, but not limited to):

  • Utilize LMS to create and monitor training profiles for all assigned employees.
  • Lead new hire orientation and other training to meet State, Federal, and OSHA training requirements.
  • Review incidents past, present, and future to incorporate lessons learned into new hire orientation and reoccurring training sessions.
  • Provide additional training or classes, as needed, with direction of the location Safety Manager.
  • Evaluate performance of trainees to measure progress and efficacy of received training.
  • Assist in the identification and remediation of hazardous workplace conditions.
  • Assist with monitoring and investigating worker's compensation claims.
  • Assist with safety inspections and audits.
  • Manage company credit card and gas card in a responsible and ethical manner, in accordance with company policy.
  • Operate company vehicle in accordance with company policy.
  • Travel to jobsites and overnight stays will be required for this position.
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position, as well as those reflective of professional experience, education, and ability.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

- hand coordination; requires the ability to use all office equipment; and the ability to lift/carry up to 30 pounds using appropriate body mechanics. Also requires the ability to walk up and down stairs, embankments, and on uneven work surfaces in the field.

  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range, with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to communicate verbally with all staff, vendors, people we serve and clients.


  • Pressure Factor

  • May require working under stressful conditions at times and handling emergencies. Working conditions may be noisy with fluctuating indoor and outdoor temperatures. There will be pressure at times to meet scheduled appointments and deadlines and manage crisis situations.

Pay:
$62, $65,000.00 per year
