28, 2023This ministry-minded, visionary, and entrepreneurial leader will plan, develop, implement, and oversee the addition of 9th through 12th grades for CCS according to the Calvary mission, vision, and values and the requirements for accredited Christian high schools in Illinois.

The goal is to lead a unique and high-quality high school that provides students with excellence in academic education built on and advancing a biblical worldview.

Main Job Tasks and ResponsibilitiesInitial tasks include oversight of the existing pre

K through 8th grade school administration while developing the vision, systems, structure, procedures, policies, academic plan, staffing, budget, and programs for the new high school, which meets or exceeds all requirements for full academic recognition in Illinois; including academic, record, credit, and student transfer requirements.

Until the High School is in a place where additional staffing is available, the Head of School will work as the functioning High School Principal while the organizational structure develops.

The Head of School is responsible for the alignment of mission, vision, and values for Preschool, K-8, High School, And Summer Camp programs.

As the chief executive officer of Calvary Christian School, culture, personnel, operations, and all aspects of instruction rely primarily on the Head of School, therefore, insisting that they possess a deep commitment and passion for biblical education.

Oversight and support of the existing pre-k through 8th-grade school administrationDeveloping the following key areas for the new high school which meet or exceed all requirements for full academic recognition in Illinois: VisionSystemsStructureProceduresPoliciesAcademic PlanStaffingBudgetProgramsRecordsCreditsStudent Transfer RequirementsContinuation of Key Areas and the likeKey Competencies A born-again follower of Jesus Christ (John 3:3, 1 Peter 1:23)Whole-hearted support of the Calvary Statement of Faith, mission, vision, values and cultureMust be or become an active member of Calvary ChurchA Christian role model in attitude, speech, and action both on and off campusSpiritual, personal, and relational health and maturityAcademic leadership ability, and the ability to envision, create, inspire, and implement Christian education programsPassion for Christian education and seeing students develop a biblical worldview as discipleship and spiritual formationHigh aptitude for building and maintaining relationships with parents, students, staff, and community supportersStrong written and verbal communicatorDevelop and execute a strategic development plan with objectives, goals, methods, and a reasonable timeline to achieve fundraising goals for the annual fall drive, tuition assistance, capital improvements, grant solicitation, and other needs as they ariseEncourage and plan for the professional growth of faculty and staff members for the distinctiveness of the Christian school, improved instruction, student needs, collegial efforts, and community relationships.

Appraise and evaluate employees' work as stated in the evaluation schedule, keeping accurate recordsBe responsible for all joint correspondence and publications and integrated communication plans between preschool, elementary school, and high schoolOperate the schools within the adopted budgetBuild a vibrant, trusting, and healthy organizational culture; help make CCS an even better place to work by recruiting, developing, supporting and retaining, exceptional teachers and administrators aligned with the biblical worldview and values of Calvary ChurchEducation and ExperienceM.A., M.S., or MEd in Educational Leadership preferred or in pursuit of receiving.

Experience in Christian Education preferred.
Five or more years of education administration experienceACSI certification in leadership or the ability to obtain ACSI certificationExperience with high school curriculum and credit transfer requirements (in Illinois is a plus)Experience with school program creation and development is preferred#J-18808-Ljbffr
