    Kemper is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Senior Manager of Corporate Security. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of physical security technology, special projects, project management and the development of related policies and procedures. Your expertise in CCURE and other access control and physical security technologies, as well as your experience in project management and risk assessments, will be critical to the success of this position. You should understand and have deep experience collaborating with IT teams and related technical requirements.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Security & Life Safety Project Management: Overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of physical security & Life Safety projects within the organization. This includes coordinating with various stakeholders, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring projects are completed within budget and on schedule. Overseeing and maintaining enterprise video management systems, including the configuration, installation, integration and troubleshooting of hardware and software components and life safety equipment and components. This includes, fire and life safety technology and equipment, video cameras, video analytics tools, access control, integration applications and related technologies to support the organizational security & life safety objectives and regulatory requirements.
    • Personnel Management: Management of a large contingent of contracted security teams which could consist of guards, physical security access management/ID badge production personnel, physical security technology teams, project management and Security Operations Center operators and consultants. May also manage one or more internal Kemper direct reports as required.
    • Physical Security Systems and Technology: Ensure for the effective implementation and maintenance of physical security (Video Management, Access Control and life safety systems, services and technologies across all Kemper locations). Deep understanding of physical security technologies and IT system integration and requirements and associated project management.
    • Relationship Management: Develop strong relationships within the Kemper Information Technology, Risk and other teams across Kemper to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness and help resolve issues regarding the deployment, maintenance and operations of physical security, life safety technology, systems and processes.
    • Vendor Management: Efficiently manage vendor relationships, including sourcing, onboarding, and ongoing communication to ensure the delivery of high-quality services and adherence to Service Level Agreements and KPI's.
    QUALIFICATIONS
    • Bachelor's degree or 10+ years of related work experience or equivalent combination
    • Experience in the security and risk management field or relatable public sector experience
    • Law enforcement experience is a plus, but not mandated
    • Strong collaboration and communication tools (Microsoft Teams, Slack, Trello etc.) Excel, PowerPoint, Task Management, Resource Management tools and related experience
    • Excellent team player with demonstrated relationship skills and a superior ability to make things happen using positive influence
    • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives to meet deadlines while ensuring high quality of work
    • Personal presence, intellect, energy and drive to succeed in a high-performance environment
    • Advanced working knowledge of an array of Physical Security technology and systems including video monitoring, access controls, incident management and monitoring tools
    • Experience with physical security technology project management, installation, and deep technical knowledge of IT requirements and integration requirements
    • Experience with contract security technology service providers/integrators, employee protection programs oversight and execution, RFP's and contract management
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills required
    • This is a hybrid position working near a Kemper office
