    Position Overview: We are seeking an innovative and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. The Special Education Teacher will play an integral role in providing personalized instruction, support, and accommodations to students with disabilities. We are looking for a dedicated professional who is committed to promoting equity, inclusion, and academic achievement for all learners.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities, in collaboration with parents, general education teachers, and support staff.
    • Deliver instruction and interventions tailored to meet the diverse learning needs of students with disabilities across various grade levels and subject areas.
    • Utilize evidence-based practices, instructional technologies, and assistive technologies to engage students and facilitate learning in inclusive classroom settings.
    • Monitor student progress, collect data, and analyze assessment results to inform instructional planning and adapt teaching strategies as needed.
    • Collaborate with colleagues, including special education team members, related service providers, and administrators, to develop and implement effective strategies for supporting students with disabilities.
    • Build positive relationships with students, families, and stakeholders, and communicate regularly to provide progress updates and solicit feedback.
    • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in special education practices, instructional methodologies, and relevant laws and regulations.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's or master's degree in Special Education from an accredited institution.
    • Valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate with an endorsement in Special Education (K-12).
    • Previous experience working as a Special Education Teacher in a school or educational setting preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices in assessment, instruction, and intervention.
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
    • Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in education.
