Associate Attorney - La Vergne, United States - Law Offices of Charles R. Frazier

Description
About the job
Seeking Associate Attorney
We could have run a boring old "Associate Attorney" ad, but we're not looking for just an "Associate Attorney." That's not how we do things here.
We're looking for our next "Rock-Star Team Member" - someone who has a service-oriented frame of mind even before they've had their coffee; someone who enjoys learning something new every day, but also can manage the foundational planning that our clients need to get their ducks in a row; and someone who is motivated by a desire do the highest quality work in order to serve clients at the highest level and promote our firm's reputation in the community.
Who Should Apply For This Position?
We have great systems here, so we're not necessarily looking for someone with a ton of experience in the practice areas in which we focus. If necessary, we will teach you the law that you need to know to get the legal work done. What's more important is that you are a great lawyer, with tremendous work ethic, and understand the power of working in a team environment. The person we hire will have great time-management and task-management skills.
This job will require all of the following:
· Assisting with and leading the work of setting client strategies;
· Drafting and reviewing estate planning/elder law planning documents;
· Managing and reviewing probate estate administration matters;
· Responding to client questions and inquiries about existing plans;
· Over time, innovating new legal solutions to client problems;
· Conducting public and client seminars on assigned topics; and
· Completing other projects, as requested.
Some of these tasks will need to be completed simultaneously, and therefore, the person we hire must have impeccable attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple items at once. The person we hire will be self-reliant. This person will ask questions but will never make excuses.
The person we hire will be very comfortable working on a computer, and using the Internet, and generally can find a way to get something done. This person will believe that technology is their friend and will actively embrace tools that make them more efficient and capable of delivering a reliable solution for their client.
Of course, a law degree is required, with bar admission in Tennessee, Michigan, or Texas. If you are not currently admitted to all three jurisdictions, you will be expected to sit for the bar exam for the one(s) you are missing (or complete reciprocity paperwork if that's an option).
Even if you've done some estate planning in the past, the person we hire will approach every part of this job with an open mind and have a willingness to learn "our way" of doing things.
If you've spent some time as a lawyer working for another firm, you will come to appreciate working for a place that has advanced business-minded skills, and which is helmed by a leader with strong attention to creating and nurturing a top-shelf culture. People here believe they work with the best team in the world, and they love their job (and their opportunity to serve).
Who Should NOT Apply for This Position?
· If you think your law degree means people should genuflect around you (especially other members of your team), this isn't the job for you.
· If you're not comfortable using a system and working within a process, this isn't the job for you.
· If you constantly find reasons why the outside world conspires against you to get something done, this isn't the job for you.
· If you are already set in your ways and unwilling to learn our way, this isn't the job for you.
· If you are a "whiner," "complainer," or "know-it-all," this isn't the job for you.
· If you're a problem adopter rather than a problem solver, this isn't the job for you.
· If you have graduated high school, college, and law school and still don't know the difference between "there," "their," and "they're," this isn't the job for you.
Who Are We?
We are a boutique tax law, estate planning, and probate administration law firm located in La Vergne (between Nashville and Murfreesboro), Tennessee. So, depending on where you live, you may not have to sit in traffic every morning on your way to work. We have a teammate in Midland, Michigan, and we're looking to establish a new relationship in Texas. Our practice is fast-paced, and we rarely have "slow days." Our offices are well established and rapidly expanding.
We attribute our excellent reputation and growth to approximately 15 years of great client service and dedicated, loyal teamwork. We emphasize both within our office to offer an open and positive work environment.
How Much Money Will This Person Make?
The starting salary for this position is $65,000 to $80,000 per year, commensurate with experience. This role will also receive generous credit for new cases brought to the firm.
And, although it isn't money in your pocket, the firm also offers generous health and dental benefits, as well as extraordinary personal and professional development coaching. You will have access to opportunities for continuing education both inside and outside of our field.
