Your RoleThe Inventory Planner is an important member of the Inventory Team reporting directly to the Inventory Planning Supervisor You will issue purchase orders and ensure suppliers deliver within expected lead time.
This position is located in South Charlotte (About 3 miles from Carowinds). This is a hybrid position #Li-hybrid with 2 work from home days per week.Prepare purchase
to obtain sufficient stock levels of spare parts
Process order acknowledgements, maintain vendor due dates in system, and update purchase order pricing
Daily follow up with suppliers to gain delivery commitments on open purchase orders through phone calls and e-mails
Identify potential shortages and initiate actions to ensure availability of stocked parts
Expedites and devises alternative solutions to resolve back-orders and schedule delivery of critical parts promptly.
Build relationships with an assigned range of vendors to maintain a strong network of suppliers
Analyze vendor performance to guarantee an on-time supply chain
Work with all departments of the service center to solve purchase order and inventory discrepancies
Perform other duties as assigned

2-3 years practical experience in inventory control, purchasing experience, supply chain, or logistics
Experience with SAP
Inventory control or purchasing experience
Understanding of and skill set with Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets)
Familiarity with network and mainframe production control software systems
Experience identifying problems and utilizing root cause analysis
Demonstrated ownership and resulted achievements of goals
EducationBachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
Skills
Ability to develop cross-functional/customer relationships and work with others effectively
Keep commitment to customer (both internal and external)
Experience with analytics and associated tools (ie excel and pivot tables, power bi, etc)
