Demand forecasting:
Utilize historical data, market intelligence, and input from sales and marketing teams to forecast future demand for products across different channels.
Inventory optimization:
Implement strategies to optimize inventory levels, including safety stock levels, reorder points, and replenishment strategies, to meet customer demand while minimizing carrying costs and stockouts.
Sales and operations planning (S&OP): Participate in the S&OP process by providing input on inventory projections, constraints, and recommendations to align inventory plans with overall business objectives.
Performance monitoring:
Regularly monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory turns, fill rates, and stockouts to evaluate inventory performance and identify areas for improvement.
Inventory analysis:
Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential risks, and opportunities for improvement in inventory management processes.
Continuous improvement:
Proactively identify opportunities to streamline inventory management processes, improve forecasting accuracy, and reduce costs through process optimization and automation.
Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, finance, and operations to ensure alignment of inventory plans with overall business goals and objectives.
Documentation and reporting:
Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, transactions, and adjustments, and generate regular reports to communicate inventory performance and make data-driven recommendations.
New product introductions (NPI): Collaborate with sales teams to develop future phases for new product launches, considering return rates and product styles.
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, statistics, or a related field.
Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., APICS, Six Sigma) is a plus.
Proven experience in inventory planning, demand planning, forecasting, data analytics, or supply chain analysis.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in statistical analysis in Excel or other data analysis tools (SQL, BI).
Knowledge of supply chain management software systems (e.g., ERP, WMS, TMS) is preferred.
Knowledge of supply chain concepts, inventory management principles, and sales forecasting methodologies.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex ideas and insights to diverse audiences.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis and solution-oriented mindset. Attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
Continuous improvement mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt to changing business requirements and technologies.
