SUMMARY
The Payroll Manager is responsible for processing payroll and maintaining all relevant records.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The role involves collaborating with HR, Accounting, and other departments to manage payroll related tasks efficiently.


Payroll Processing and Maintenance:


  • Manage endtoend payroll processing for all employees on a weekly basis. Ensuring all managers have approved and submitted weekly timecards for all hourly employees.
  • Process weekly payroll in accordance with the ADP submission schedule.
  • Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of the information and the system.
"Keeper of Record" for all payroll data inputs and changes (vacation, sick/personal time, attendance tracking, all deductions:
direct deposits, union dues, 401K, benefits). New hires, terminations, and salary changes, ensuring proper approvals for changes with employee information.


Reporting:


  • Record weekly payroll journal entry into the ERP system through monthend close process.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reporting to Management.
  • Complete all wage statements required for unemployment compensation claims, mortgage verifications and Workers Compensation claims.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax laws.

Process Improvement:


  • Identify opportunities to streamline payroll processing and improve efficiency.
  • Implement best practices and automation to enhance payroll operations.

Other:


  • Assist VP Finance during the Workers Compensation annual audit and Commercial Insurance renewal process.
  • Assist with the fiscal yearend audit as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Skills:


  • Experience with processing payroll in an union environment
  • ADP workforce now
  • Basic Excel Skills

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures using basic math such as rate increases, commissions, deductions, loans.


REASONING ABILITY


Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Pay:
$70, $80,000.00 per year
