Job Description:

Our top client is seeking a VP, Global IT Quality Assurance for their Information Technology team. As the VP, Global IT QA, you will lead and direct the Centralized QA functions. This position involves overseeing multiple teams of full-time employees and consultants, driving modernization in QA processes including functional/manual, automated, load/performance testing, and more. Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement the QA Strategy in line with the broader IT strategy
Enhance centralization, modernization, and scalability of QA resources
Collaborate with CIO, CTO, and other tech leaders to prioritize key systems initiatives and ensure quality assurance of enterprise solutions
Lead the IT Quality Assurance group with a process-driven approach to meet project goals and QA standards
Work with Business and Development teams to create comprehensive test strategies, plans, and cases
Oversee QA recruiting, vendor management, and contracts
Define new best practices, processes, and tools for QA
Establish standards and frameworks for test automation
Provide standardized QA productivity and project/release testing status reports
Take ownership of the QA environment

Technical Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of Insurance industry experience
Over 10 years as a QA leader and more than 15 years of QA experience
Experience in overseeing software/application QA at scale
Demonstrated expertise in test automation strategy and frameworks
Proficiency in Automation Testing Tools (HP QTP, Selenium, etc.) and performance testing tools (LoadRunner, AppLoader, etc.)
Extensive hands-on experience in UI and back-office systems testing
Thorough understanding of software engineering and development lifecycle
Leadership experience in QA with DuckCreek is a plus
Guidewire Insurance solutions knowledge is required

General Qualifications:

Experience in leading leaders and offsite teams
Capability to control team and tooling expenses
Strong analytical and problems-solving abilities
Understanding of integration with enterprise systems and architectural standards
Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
Comfortable with rapid-paced and deadline-driven development

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Mathematics, or a related field is preferred
