- Reviews and carries out prepress equipment work requests submitted to
- Independently accepts prepress work requests and operates equipment in order to complete work requests within established time frames.
- Reviews all outgoing print jobs for compliance with established quality control guidelines and notifies the appropriate party of quality problems.
- Monitors the inventory of supplies required for the operation of bindery/finishing area. Advises supervisor of supplies needed.
- Assists with various bindery activities, including the independent operation and maintenance of all equipment used in bindery operation to help meet production deadlines and quality standards. May perform a variety of other bindery and finishing functions including reviewing job specifications, monitoring jobs in progress, and establishing production schedules and priorities.
- Deliver paper (remove from case), throughout the Authority Headquarters building.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school education or equivalent and a minimum of five years of experience working with offset printing equipment.
Candidate must possess detailed knowledge of major printing functions and workflow patterns and the ability to independently operate offset printing and bindery/finishing equipment such as collators, bookbinders, computerized paper cutters, high-speed and large paper folders, paper drills, spiral binder, etc.
Well-developed communications skills, attention to detail, and good manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude are necessary. Must possess the ability to perform basic personal computer functions, MAC computer functions, and have large digital copier skills.INTERVIEW SELECTION PROCESS: The selection process may include one or more components to demonstrate applicants' knowledge, skills and abilities in job related areas. These may include exercises such as practical demonstrations, written communications, oral interviews and/or competency assessments.
SUMMARY
Operates a variety of offset and high-speed printing equipment in order to produce high quality print jobs to meet established production standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record validated upon entry and in subsequent periodic reviews. Must pass forklift certification training within ninety (90) days upon entry and annually thereafter.
