Who We Need
Our continued growth has created a new Utility/General Helper role to support our Inks & Coatings Research & Development group in our Hatfield, PA location.
In this role you will help maintain laboratory conditions and equipment, helping R&D chemists and technicians to do their job more efficiently.
This would include maintenance of chemical inventories, cleaning of machines, ensuring availability of raw materials and disposal of chemical waste.
Your Education will include:
- A High School Diploma
Your Knowledge, Skills and Experience will include:
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instruction, short correspondence and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Basic computer knowledge
- Understanding of UPS/ FedEx shipping software (create shipping labels)
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measuring
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Detail oriented
- Team player, cando attitude
- Sweep, mop, scrub and vacuum work areas in the R&D labs
- Disposal of trash and hazardous and nonhazardous waste, interfacing with EH&S to ensure that they are disposed of properly, within the appropriate time frame and labeled properly
- General housekeeping/painting of the facility
- Ship sample materials using UPS/ FedEx/DHL
- Collect raw materials from warehouse and deliver to all work stations
- Maintain and stock inventory
- Weigh materials
- Use chemicals, materials and equipment safely, wearing taskspecific PPE
- Other duties as assigned
