- Is responsible to assure work planning, work direction, and work performance evaluation are accomplished.
- Perform nursing care duties, maintain nursing skills to cover staff shortages by performing patient assessment (triages, treatment and evaluation) on all ages of patients.
- Manage the clinical unit by providing adequate staffing, unit organizational functions, unit safety and communications are planned and information is disseminated to the staff.
- Provides supervision to subordinate employees, including counseling, disciplinary action, corrective action, evaluation, and overall management of each unit employees
- Participates in the hiring process beginning with the announcement of the position, hiring and selection of employees for vacant positions.
- Resolves grievances and complaints.
