Description

Acton Medical Associates P.C. is seeking Phlebotomists to join our busy practice.

At Acton Medical Associates, our phlebotomists work with a variety of patients to preserve patient health and quality of samples.

Our lab is on-site in our primary care practice.

Opportunities are also available in our satellite office locations in Littleton, Harvard, and Hudson; if you are interested in a satellite office, please ask.

In this role you will:

Draw from patients of all ages (newborn to geriatric)
Identify and utilize the correct phlebotomy method (venipuncture, skin puncture) appropriate for the patient
Ensure optimal quality and quantity of samples
Label samples correctly. Send or deliver correctly for processing
Reassure patients, answer questions, provide helpful information
Keep accurate records and adhere to all relevant health and safety standards at all times
Experience with effective puncture techniques
Understanding of proper patient identification methods
Knowledge of legal requirements about drawing blood, handling fluid samples, and use of relevant medial equipment
Excellent communication skills, great people skills, presence of mind, and dedication to patient care
Strong attention to detail
Completion of a certified phlebotomy program.
Certification in Phlebotomy preferred but not required.
Experience with EMR (electronic medical records) programs
