Acton Medical Associates P.C. is seeking Phlebotomists to join our busy practice.


At Acton Medical Associates, our phlebotomists work with a variety of patients to preserve patient health and quality of samples.

Our lab is on-site in our primary care practice.

Opportunities are also available in our satellite office locations in Littleton, Harvard, and Hudson; if you are interested in a satellite office, please ask.


In this role you will:

  • Draw from patients of all ages (newborn to geriatric)
  • Identify and utilize the correct phlebotomy method (venipuncture, skin puncture) appropriate for the patient
  • Ensure optimal quality and quantity of samples
  • Label samples correctly. Send or deliver correctly for processing
  • Reassure patients, answer questions, provide helpful information
  • Keep accurate records and adhere to all relevant health and safety standards at all times
  • Experience with effective puncture techniques
  • Understanding of proper patient identification methods
  • Knowledge of legal requirements about drawing blood, handling fluid samples, and use of relevant medial equipment
  • Excellent communication skills, great people skills, presence of mind, and dedication to patient care
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Completion of a certified phlebotomy program.
  • Certification in Phlebotomy preferred but not required.
  • Experience with EMR (electronic medical records) programs
