• Extensive Criminal background check will be conducted

• DC Unarmed Security License (required)

Full Job Description

Guards will support the Department of Corrections staff with screening persons and packages coming in the CDF/CTF warehouse making sure no unauthorized packages or illegal properties is brought into or removed from the location.

• Active/Valid D.C. Unarmed SO or SPO License
• Reliable Transportation & Communication
• Ability to pass a drug screening
• Ability to adhere to strict grooming and uniform standards
• Present a neat and professional appearance and demeanor
• Have a High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to read and write fluently in English
• Flexible schedule and availability
• Ability to take direction and work as a member of the team

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to remain standing on post up to four (4) consecutive hours.

Frequent and prolonged walking, standing, sitting, and stooping.

$19.39 per hour with Health & Welfare package
