Position Overview:
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal counsel with a focus on litigation within the realms of Texas employment law, healthcare regulations, contracts, and related areas.
- Guide management and staff on adhering to stringent state and federal employment laws and healthcare regulations.
- Skillfully review, draft, and negotiate a myriad of legal documents pertaining to our facility's operations, including but not limited to vendor contracts, provider agreements, and employment contracts.
- Conduct thorough legal research to stay abreast of evolving litigation trends, particularly in Texas employment law and healthcare regulations.
- Represent the organization in legal proceedings, from administrative hearings to regulatory investigations and litigation, as necessary.
- Develop and conduct training sessions on pertinent legal issues impacting the organization, fostering a culture of compliance and risk management.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in the State Bar of Texas.
- A minimum of 5 years' handson experience practicing law, showcasing prowess in Texas employment law, healthcare regulations, contract law, and litigation.
- Profound knowledge of state and federal laws governing the longterm care sector.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and negotiation skills are a must.
- Proven ability to thrive both autonomously and collaboratively in a highpressure environment.
- While prior experience in the longterm care or healthcare law spheres is advantageous, it is not a mandatory requirement.
