- Duties and responsibilities
- Maintenance and repair of plant operational systems including facility, HVAC, electrical, air and piping, production and packaging equipment at company different locations.
- Lead diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
- Repairs or replaces defective parts and lubricates and cleans parts as needed in accordance with manufacturing quality system practices.
- Requisition of supplies and spare parts.
- Inspects and monitors work areas, examines tools and equipment, and provides employee safety training to prevent, detect, and correct unsafe conditions or violations of procedures and safety rules.
- Responsible for the Preventive Maintenance Program, developing PM's, assigning the work & tracking completion of preventative maintenance tasks.
- Assists in the establishment of work procedures and schedules to meet production needs.
- Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product and enforces safety regulations.
- Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner and communicates changes effectively.
- Includes appropriate people in decision-making process and supports and explains reasoning for decisions.
- Manages competing demands and changes approach or method to best fit the situation.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Qualifications
- Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or minimum of three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years of related experience at maintenance position in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience within medical device or pharmaceutical industry preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex process issues.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
