JOB SUMMARY:

This position oversees the supervision of all areas of the Stockroom and Receiving.

Maintains inventory and supplies by receiving, storing and delivering items; oversees the receiving of products and materials, the loading/unloading of trucks, and the interdepartmental transfer of items and materials.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Meets operational standards by contributing information to strategic plans and reviews, implements production, productivity, quality and customer service standards; resolves problems; identifies system improvements
  • Delivers supplies and materials to departments by receiving and transferring items
  • Maintains stockroom and dock areas by organizing floor space and recommending improvements
  • Directs and monitors department supervisors/managers to accomplish the goals of the manufacturing plan, consistent with established manufacturing and safety procedures
  • Maintains inventory by conducting monthly cycle counts and actively participating in the annual physical inventory
  • Identifies, recommends, and implements changes to improve productivity and reduce costs

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position has direct reports.

  • Accomplishes stockroom and receiving human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicates job expectations, plans, monitors, appraises job contributions; recommends compensation actions; adheres to policies and procedures

MINIMUM EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5 or more years of experience in stockroom and receiving activities
  • 2 or more years of experience in a lead or supervisory role

ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:


  • Solid computer skills with a proficiency in Windowsbased programs
  • Must be wellorganized and detailoriented
  • Must be a forwardthinker with a continuous improvement mindset

PROTECTIVE CLOTHING/EQUIPMENT:


  • Steeltoe shoes
  • Eye protection
