Job Requirements

  • Act as a consultant to customers regarding products and projects.
  • Deliver excellent customer service by actively listening to customers and working to find a solution to complex problems.
  • Act as a consultant to assist customers in selecting the right products, ensuring accurate quotes, verifying correct price labels, and confirming that all customer needs are met.
  • Provide paint product knowledge that includes the ability to identify and explain various:
  • Paint (i.e., economy or premium)
  • Paint finishes (i.e. eggshell, flat, satin, and semigloss)
  • Painters' tools, including brushes, paint sprayers, power washers, edgers, rollers
  • Uses of adhesives, solvents, caulk
  • Faux and decorative finishes
  • Demonstrate a proper ability to manufacture paint (including color tinting and matching).
  • Perform routine paint machine maintenance and maintain a work area that is clean of debris.

Work Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1+ years of Retail Experience or equivalent experience.
  • Prior experience in retail paint sales or professional painting is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Benjamin Moore Paint and paint color matching preferred.
  • Weekend Availability Required.
  • Positive and professional personality.
  • Vital customer service and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds.
  • Frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to complete storerelated physical activities (walking, standing, talking, hearing, twisting, pushing, reaching, seeing, stooping/crouching, smelling, depth perception, identifying colors) as needed.
