Summary
We are seeking a versatile individual who is eager to contribute across various functions within our organization.

As a Cross-Functional Assistant Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting different teams and departments to ensure smooth operations and efficient execution of tasks.

Your primary responsibility will be assisting with cost and resource estimates on projects for Foundation installation and Horizontal Directional Drill projects as required by client's request for proposal process.


Essential Functions

  • Analyzing project documentation to understand scope, requirements, and specifications.
  • Collaborating with internal team members and external partners to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
  • Assessing material and labor costs, including subcontractor bids, to develop comprehensive project estimates.
  • Identifying potential risks and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Preparing detailed bid proposals and supporting documentation for project submissions.
  • Utilizing software tools and databases to assist in estimating and managing project budgets.
  • Communicating effectively with team members and clients to address any questions or concerns regarding project estimates.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and multi-function printers. The noise level in the work environment is moderate but can be loud.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some lifting is required. This would require the ability to lift equipment, climb a ladder, and operate small hand tools, as necessary.


Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma
  • Proficiency in general math skills

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Associate degree
  • General office and admin experience a plus
  • Relevant 23 years of experience estimating or in the construction industry
