Position Overview:


Reporting to the Chief People and Culture Officer or designee, this impactful role is pivotal in ensuring an exceptional employment journey for staff members throughout the employment life cycle.

The Employee Experience and Engagement Specialist will play a key role in establishing and delivering core employee engagement practices, contributing to a positive work culture.

With involvement in various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, leaves, and retention efforts, this role will lead initiatives to drive workforce experience and engagement, fostering a dynamic and inclusive workplace environment.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with leadership and the People Services Group to establish strategic tools for organizational growth, productivity, and talent retention.
  • Manage internship and mentorship programs in partnership with various departments to provide valuable experiences for participants.
  • Conduct surveys, analyze feedback, and track key metrics to assess employee engagement levels, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Design, collect, and analyze data to identify trends and potential risk areas associated with climate surveys and assessments.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the employee experience through innovative solutions and policies.
  • Support the development and implementation of diversity initiatives to attract, hire, and maintain a diverse workplace.
  • Assist in the implementation of comprehensive onboarding programs, including communication strategies, processes, job tools, and training.
  • Optimize training and development programs to enhance performance, retention, and career growth.
  • Lead the development and execution of employee experience and engagement programs, fostering the company's culture and ensuring all initiatives are effectively promoted and delivered.
  • Manage and oversee the employee recognition program to acknowledge and celebrate outstanding contributions, anniversaries, birthdays, etc.
  • Collaborate with the Employee Engagement Committee to coordinate employee special events, such as teambuilding activities, holiday events, and company outings, to strengthen employee relationships and morale.
  • Assess program effectiveness, solicit feedback, and incorporate creative ideas to enhance employee experience and engagement.
  • Conduct retention, and recruitment research, prepare information for reports, and assist in drafting, proofreading, and processing related documents.
  • Maintain various files and records, including employee records, correspondence, activity logs, and reports.
  • Manage special projects assigned by the CPCO or designated leadership.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, create job descriptions, and develop recruitment plans.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and legal requirements related to talent acquisition and recruitment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the People Services Group and organizational objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Professional certification (HRCI or SHRM) is highly desired.
  • Two to four years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with state and federal labor/employment law.
  • Workforce training and development experience.
  • Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now and basic computer programs.
