As part of Munich Re Group, we are a unique organization providing expertise in specialty and marine lines of insurance as well as surety risks and customs bonds with in-house claims solutions.


We are seeking a full time
Associate Claims Resolution Specialist to join the Roanoke Insurance Group division as a hybrid employee in our Schaumburg, IL office reporting to the SVP, Claims.


Job Profile

  • Processing, and overseeing CYBER, Reinsurance Claims, and other Specialty claims and their progress, according to departmental policy and procedures.
  • Obtains prepares and submits the necessary documentation associated with the thorough verification of losses and administration of claims following established policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Using risk expertise and industry knowledge to develop solutions that are personalized to our clients
  • Establishes contact and maintains effective professional relationships with insured parties, agents, brokers, public adjusters, attorneys, and others involved in the claims process.
  • Evaluates, negotiates, and authorizes settlements with all stakeholders within designated authority.
  • Selects, assigns, directs, and manages vendors and key stakeholders.
  • Staying ahead of changing insurance and risk market conditions, as well as evolving cyber threats that may pose new security risks.
  • Participating in internal and external audits where applicable.

Job Requirements

  • Must hold all applicable adjuster's license, in active state.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate internally and externally.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Must be able to identify and investigate subrogation potential of a claim.
  • Must have the ability to draft appropriate and professional correspondence.
  • Must have strong skills with Microsoft Office, including Word & Excel.
  • Ability to organize, multitask and prioritize work.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze date, utilize sound judgment to draw conclusions and make supported decisions.
