Innovation & Exploration, "IE STEM" is a well-established and nurturing learning environment dedicated to providing quality early childhood STEM education for young children.
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Preschool Early Care Teacher to join our team and help us create a safe and supportive space for children in our extended care program.
As a Preschool Early Care Teacher, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, well-being, and positive development of children during the early care hours.
Your role will play a crucial part in creating a nurturing and enriching environment for the children under your care.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervision and Safety: Maintain a safe and secure environment for children, ensuring that they are protected from harm and injury. Oversee their activities and enforce safety rules.

Engagement and Interaction: Interact with children through age-appropriate play, educational activities, and conversations, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development.

Homework Support: Assist children with their homework assignments, providing guidance and support while encouraging independence and a positive attitude toward learning.

Snack and Mealtime: Supervise snack and mealtime, ensuring that children receive healthy and well-balanced meals. Maintain a clean and hygienic eating area.

Behavior Management: Implement positive behavior management strategies and enforce established rules and guidelines to promote a respectful and cooperative atmosphere.

Communication: Maintain open and clear communication with parents and colleagues regarding children's progress, concerns, and relevant information.

Environment Setup: Prepare and organize the late care classroom, ensuring it is neat, welcoming, and well-equipped with age-appropriate materials and resources.

Emergency Preparedness: Be prepared to respond to emergencies or accidents, following safety protocols and guidelines.

Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; an associate or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience working with preschoolage children in a similar role.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a team.
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine love for working with children.
- A deep understanding of child development and ageappropriate teaching methods.
Schedule:
This is a part-time position for the late care program. The typical schedule will be 7AM to 10AM.
