Position Summary
The Financial Analyst under the guidance of Finance Leadership supports the financial management across the organization.

Prepare and provide financial analyses aimed towards continuous improvement of the company's operations including asset liability management and investment portfolio management.

Utilizing data from a variety of sources, position will compile, analyze, and interpret data into useful decision-making resources.


Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform daily cash management functions to include monitoring daily cash position at depositories, branches, and ATMs, monitor liquidity levels and associated risks while optimizing cash levels to ensure maximum return.
  • Maintain the Credit Union's investment portfolio documentation, including monitoring collateral pledged for adequacy and ensuring third party provided reports are in agreeance.
  • Gathers, compiles, and prepares information for routine financial reports, analysis, and presentations.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly statistical reports and other trend analysis.
  • Prepare and analyze profitability reports for branches and departments.
  • Assist in analysis, modeling, and reporting related to pricing and risk for credit union deposits, loans, and services.
  • Participate in the preparation of the annual budget including compilation of information from various cost centers, preparation of short
- and long-term forecasts, reviewing budget variances and creating reports.

  • Prepare FR2900 and other regulatory reports.
  • Provide financial analysis support to other departments and project teams.
  • Use judgment and critical thinking when completing all reporting to recognize changes in data sources, variations in the process, and fluctuations in trends and understand the potential impact on results.
  • Actively participate in audits and regulatory examinations. Gather and prepare requested documentation for internal and external audits and exams.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA)

  • Knowledge of Wellby's organizational functions and general operating policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of secretarial practices and procedures, business English, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Knowledge of personal computer, utilizing Microsoft Office Suite and other software's.
  • Knowledge of basic banking principles.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards.
  • Knowledge and understanding of methods of systems analysis and the principles, design, and procedural methods used in big data analysis.
  • Knowledge and understanding of project management.
  • Skilled in operating computer equipment and general office machines such as personal computers, copiers, projection equipment, audio/video, Microsoft Teams, Zoom Video Communications, and adding machines.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing.
  • Ability to efficiently understand and follow oral and written instructions, perform routine duties without close supervision, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with other team members.
  • Ability to coordinate several concurrent activities simultaneously.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment.

Supervisory Responsibilities
The team member does not have supervisory responsibilities.
