About the Job

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Install Technician II to be an important part of our team and provide fiber internet installation and maintenance services to our customers.

The Install Technician II will be responsible for installing fiber internet service to the interior of residential customers' living premises, ensuring that all installations meet quality and safety standards.

This opportunity sits within Cityside Fiber's Field Operations Department. You will operate in a fast-moving and sometimes ambiguous environment and excel in hitting the Company's objectives.

To be successful you will have superior communication and organizational skills, a passion for delivering excellent customer service, and the ability to work independently in the field.

Responsibilities:

Install fiber internet service to the interior of residential customers' living premises, including running fiber optic cables, splicing fibers, and testing connections
Perform maintenance on fiber internet equipment and infrastructure as needed
Follow established safety protocols and procedures when installing fiber internet service
Ensure that all installations meet quality standards and take corrective action as needed
Understand Cityside Fiber's core purpose and values and be passionate about what we do
Work in and contribute to an atmosphere of trust and integrity
Document all installations and maintenance activities in accordance with company procedures
Communicate with customers to schedule installations, answer questions, and provide updated on the status of their installation
Communicate with fellow employees to ensure the overall success of Cityside Fiber
Work independently and as part of a team to complete installations and maintenance activities in a timely and efficient manner

Minimum Qualifications

High energy individual who is willing to be an integral part of a high growth service provider who puts people first, dares to be different and has fun disrupting an industry
High school diploma or equivalent
5+ years of installations experience in the telecommunications industry
Experience communicating to and collaborating with crossfunctional teams
Ability to work well under pressure
Ability to lift and move heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
Valid Driver's License
Proven history of excellent customer service in the field and timely, effective, clean installations
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to multitask and be highly responsive to internal and external clients
Demonstrated intense customer focus
Demonstrated highest level of integrity, intellectual honesty and strong work ethic
Takes initiative. Doesn't wait to be asked. Plans efficiently while avoiding analysis paralysis

Preferred Qualifications

Strong knowledge of the fiber internet market and technology trends
Sharp, analytical, and thoughtful. Has sound judgment and ability to be right a lot
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in the field
Familiarity with standard safety protocols and procedures, and a commitment to working safely in the field
Consistent effort, intense commitment, and willingness to go above and beyond when needed
Strong team player, acts like an owner, and ultimately focused on delivering results with high standards

Location
This location is based out of our Irvine, CA office. You will be required to travel to project/customer sites to fulfill job responsibilities.
