    Description

    The ancestors of the Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation existed many centuries ago as a community of people...a Tribe living together, farming, hunting and fishing to survive.

    Much has changed since that time. Today the Sycuan Tribe governs its Reservation, owns and operates a Casino and a Golf Resort, and owns a number of other business ventures in the San Diego Region.

    One attribute that remains unchanged, however, is Sycuan's sense of community. Sycuan is more than just a business. Sycuan is a community of people working together toward a common goal. Whether you work in our state-of-the-art Casino, our beautiful Resort, or become a staff member in our Tribal Government division, you will be part of the Sycuan family.

    Job Purpose:

    Develops business solutions for enterprise, regulatory, and government stakeholders in on-premises and cloud-based SharePoint environments and assists with other related document management and cloud-based systems.

    Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    (Note: Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at the sole discretion of Sycuan Management at any time)

  • Design and develop portal content and applications that integrate with other enterprise systems and third-party products by collaborating with departmental stakeholders to understand business needs and departmental goals, create SharePoint sites, automation and workflows that assist business processes and improve productivity, and implement solutions that utilize appropriate on- and off- premises resources to best meet the defined objectives.
  • Integrate non-SharePoint related services into SharePoint applications as needed by working with vendors, the IT engineering, and business stakeholders to leverage third-party services and data to build robust and scalable integrated applications.
  • Recommend, schedule, and perform software improvements and upgrades by staying up to date on platform updates, improvements, and bug-fixes and researching emerging SharePoint development tools and strategies.
  • Provides support to IT Department by completing special projects as assigned.
  • Job Specifications:

    Education and Experience:

    Essential:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Enterprise Software Development, or equivalent or 5 years of experience in Information Technology, website design, or software engineering.
  • Desirable:

  • 2-3 years' experience implementing SharePoint and Microsoft Azure technologies in and on-prem or hybrid cloud deployment.
  • 4 years of experience supporting document management platforms such as SharePoint, OnBase, and ApplicationXtender
  • Skills and Knowledge:

    Essential:

  • Expertise in SharePoint implementations.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Forms Designer and Workflow Designer
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of application development as it pertains to database interaction
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL database structure, framework and Active Directory security schema
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
  • Skilled at working within a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Ability to present ideas and solutions in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
  • Highly self-motivated and self-directed.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to appear for work on time
  • Desirable:

  • Experience in .NET development.
  • Experience in SQL Server or equivalent databases.
  • Experience in Web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Experience with Microsoft IIS/Windows, or equivalent server platforms.
  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and Design.
