Potholing Specialist - San Marcos, United States - AirX Utility Surveyors, Inc.

Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and dependable Hydrovac Operator to join our dynamic Potholing team. This role involves working collaboratively to safely and efficiently locate underground utilities using hydro excavation methods.


Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a vacuum truck to uncover underground utilities.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers, Project Managers, and Leadership.
• Operate tools such as jackhammers, concrete saws, and vacuum hoses.
• Set up and maintain traffic control as instructed.
• Accurately complete required paperwork and recordkeeping tasks.
• Perform basic field measurements and simple mathematics.
• Travel throughout California, with potential overnight stays for up to two weeks.
• Maintain vehicles, equipment, and worksites in a safe and clean condition.
• Manage time efficiently and adhere to schedules.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Requirements:

Commercial Class A Driver's License with a clean driving record.

• Knowledge of utilities and techsavviness.
• Teamoriented with strong initiative and work ethic.
• Physical ability to lift 60 lbs. multiple times per day and use a 90 lb. jackhammer.
• Willingness to travel to assigned work sites.

  :Private wage rate of $29.60 per hour and
  prevailing wage rate of $46.86 per hour.
