The Institute for Sea Fisheries of the Johann Heinrich von Thünen Institute, Federal Research Institute for Rural Areas, Forestry and Fisheries, located in Bremerhaven, is currently seeking a full-time Technical Assistant (m/f/d) (pay grade 9a TVöD-Bund) for a temporary position from [date] to [date] to support the sampling team in the EU Fisheries Data Collection Framework (DCF).

The Institute for Sea Fisheries conducts research on ecological and economic aspects of fisheries. The tasks for this position fall within the "Living Marine Resources" department.

The main responsibilities include participating in fishing trips of the German commercial fishing industry for biological sampling of catches, as well as subsequent laboratory and computer work.
