    Description
    Job Title: Product Development Technician

    Location: San Diego, CA

    Duration: 12 Months

    1st Shift

    Job Description Summary:
    • We are seeking a Product Development Tech for our San Diego, CA facility.
    • This person contributes to the completion of routine technical tasks and develops solutions to routine technical problems of specified Product.
    • Their contacts are primarily with immediate supervisor, project leaders, and other professionals in the unit.
    Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes.
    • Produces engineering document, reports, and drawings (flow charts, block diagrams and schematics)
    • Prepares reports and summaries, including quantitative analysis
    • Provides completion of technical tasks.
    • Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks.
    • Helps Product equipment for use and complete qualifications
    • Works with team to on general lab functions; including calibration, implementation of safety procedures, and routine equipment maintenance
    • Notifies manager or team lead upon recognition of factors that may affect project
    • Helps develop prototype processes and test set-ups
    • Executes designed test protocol and conducts testing
    • Effectively documents and communicates test results
    • Supports hardware debugging
    Requirements:
    • Minimum Requirement: Minimum education requirement is high school diploma, experience in a lab environment (corporate or school) or technician experience in a regulated environment for a minimum of 3 years, experience following written procedures and working collaboratively with a team
    Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
    • Ability to understand and perform designed test procedures
    • The ability to work effectively in a cross functional group and communicate effectively with the lab team and extended team members
    • Develops solutions to routine technical problems of limited Product
    • Proficiency in personal computers
    • Ability to train lower-level technicians
