ROOM ATTENDANT
Job Summary:
Responsible for ensuring guest rooms and suites are cleaned and prepared to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Thoroughly clean assigned rooms and suites following set standards such as making beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting, and arranging furniture.
- Stock rooms and suites with essentials like paper items, soap, and towels.
- Maintain cleanliness of exterior entry areas and hallways.
- Regularly restock and organize the housekeeping cart.
- Handle key control ensuring proper management of issued and guest keys.
- Collect and log any lost and found items found in rooms and suites.
- Promptly report any unusual situations in guestrooms and suites to the Executive Housekeeper.
- Take care of guests' laundry and dry-cleaning requests.
- Accommodate any special requests from guests.
- Ensure the security and confidentiality of rooms and suites.
- Keep linen closets and supply areas neat and organized.
- Report any maintenance requirements and address guest requests or complaints.
Additional Duties:
- Comply with all hotel policies and procedures outlined in the employee handbook.
- Due to the hotel's 24/7 operation, flexibility in scheduling is essential to meet business demands.
Skills and Competencies:
- Capable of standing for extended periods.
- Able to lift, carry, and bend throughout the shift.
- Self-motivated and can work efficiently independently.
