Italian Brand/ Merchandising Specialist
FLSA/GRADE: Exempt/Salary
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Comprehensive product knowledge in core Italian/pizza categories: cheese, tomato, flour, pizza boxes, protein toppings, and oils & seasonings required. Proficiency in Italian brands and the competitive Italian segment.
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as solid interpersonal, presentation and training skills required.
- Foodservice experience preferred, but not required.
- Consultative selling skills preferred.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Responsible for driving new business/case growth, exclusive brand conversions, and penetration (crossselling/upselling) opportunities of assigned categories through sales activities with priority target customers and highpotential prospects.
- Develop and execute a targeted sales strategies to achieve annual business goals in assigned categories and Ferraro Foods exclusive and private brands across defined Region.
- Drive KPIs across Category (TGP/Case, sales case growth, category penetration, EB %, target capture rate, etc.).
- Prioritize time, targets, and teamselling efforts based on market insights and data analytics.
- Identify, qualify, and support top prospect conversion opportunities to Ferraro and Ferraroowned brands.
- Provide quality market intelligence, competitive market pricing, and customer feedback on products, pricing, events and selling materials.
- Provide product expertise and sales support for the assigned categories to achieve business goals. Train Account Executives both independently and with Supplier-Partners during sales meetings, category workshops and other activities as assigned.
- Provide input on core and local assortments, new item introductions, and EB conversion opportunities.
- Collaborate with Category Managers and Marketing to support the development, distribution and deployment of various merchandising tools with sales teams and customers as part of the teamselling process.
- Support continuous process improvement of the Sampling program; Leverage sampling to differentiate Ferraroowned brands and close sales.
- Track activities and results, collaborate on opportunities, and champion the teamselling process
- Provide limited sales support to Account Execs for nonprioritized opportunities.
