As a member of the Base SAS Team, you can expect to:

Work with development to create test cases that reflect real customer use casesAutomate regression testing using tools like JenkinsContinuously analyze and enhance test coverageResponsibilitiesCreate and maintain high quality test automation using modern development techniques and provide key data points to support metrics-based decision makingApply automated tests at every layer of the application stack, both inside and outside of the continuous delivery pipelineProduce and analyze metrics that illustrate the quality of applications and develop insight that drives the direction of quality engineeringWork with team to promptly triage test failures with precision and accuracy, maintaining the health of the build pipelineWork collaboratively with development, operations, and support peers to encourage quality as a key design element in all work effortsEngage in code reviews for product, test, and infrastructure codeProtect users from escaped defects, participate in support escalations, and value Customer Experience (CX) above allUnderstand the role of development, migration, security, and performance in the continuous delivery lifecycleDesign, implement, and continuously improve automated test frameworks, tools, and scripts that address specific needs using tools such as JenkinsMaintain test suites in a version-controlled environmentProgram in one or more languages such as Python, Java, Perl, shell, etcRequired QualificationsBachelors degree in computer science or related quantitative fieldWorking knowledge of at least one programming language such as Python, Java, JavaScript, C, Groovy, SAS, etcConceptual understanding of at least one markup language like XMLConceptual understanding of agile processes and iterative software developmentSome experience writing software applications, testing software, and/or general programmingWorking knowledge of source control management techniques along with participating in code reviewsPreferred QualificationsProgramming experience with C, Java and SASHands-on experience developing and maintaining test automation frameworksExperience with Agile software development principles and practicesExperience with SQL programming or SQL databasesExperience with CI/CD pipelines and associated tools, such as Jenkins, Git, Gerrit, GradleKnowledge of Cloud providers like Azure, AWS, Google, etcStrong knowledge of Unix and Windows environmentsLocationCary HQ/Hybrid or Remote (preferable east coast time zone)World-Class BenefitsHighlights include...Comprehensive medical, prescription, dental and vision plans.
