    Description

    We are looking for a Software Engineer - Mobile to join our NYC-based team.

    *** This position is currently remote, with future plans to return to in-person operations at our Manhattan office in Midtown. Access to reliable Wi-Fi/internet is required. ***

    About Software Engineer - Mobile

    • Work with VP of Engineer to take ownership of Culinary Agents' mobile application
    • Development of React Native applications for iOS and Android.
    • Build accessible, performant, native-feeling UIs across both mobile platforms
    • Responsible for planning, processing, testing and performing all jobs in an efficient manner with no assistance from the supervisor
    • Maintain consistency throughout the product.
    • Document code consistently throughout the development process
    • Provide technical documentation for the design, implementation and testing

    Desired Skills and Experience

    • 3+ years of mobile application development experience
    • 3+ years of experience with React Native
    • 1+ years of experience with Expo.
    • Experienced in building mobile applications that consume GraphGL JSON APIs
    • Written and/or maintain Ruby on Rails framework is a huge plus
    • Knowledge of algorithms, data structure, web technologies, and cross-browser compatibility issues, distributed systems, cloud platforms (e.g. AWS or in-house), open-source databases (e.g. Mongo, Hadoop, Kafka or others.) is a huge plus.
    • Internationalization/Localization knowledge and experience a strong plus
    • Familiarity with revision control systems, especially Git.
    • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Works well in teams and collaborating
    • BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field
    • Food enthusiast is a plus.
