Ikon Health is a premier leader in providing primary care house-calls to the homebound throughout Montgomery, Howard and Prince George's Counties, MD.
Our goal is to provide high quality medical care to the homebound geriatric community, ensuring they have the same level of care as a traditional provider's office.
We have an immediate opening for a full-time nurse practitioner to see patients throughout Montgomery County. We are seeking someone who is experienced with treating homebound geriatric patients or is eager to learn how.Nurse Practitioner Job Responsibilities
You will utilize your advanced knowledge and clinical expertise in providing home-based primary care healthcare services to patients and their families.
You will work in collaboration with our lead nurse practitioner and be directly accountable for making clinical judgments using independent decision-making skills.
You will provide direct and indirect patient care in managing the healthcare needs of patients, including providing primary care to patients using advanced skills in physical examination, diagnosis, and treatment.
The Nurse Practitioner develops and maintains collaborative relationships with other providers and healthcare facilities.
Additional responsibilities for the Nurse Practitioner include:
- Prescribing and implementing interventions
- Reviewing and interpreting diagnostic reports, consults, discharge summaries, etc.
- Providing education and counseling to patients and families
- Writing medical orders
Requirements:
As a Nurse Practitioner, you must have effective clinical skills, and demonstrate a willingness to pursue leadership roles with increasing levels of accountability.
Additional requirements of the Nurse Practitioner include:
- Current licensure as a professional nurse in the state of Maryland
- Doctorate or Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner training program
- CRNP in Adult Health, Family or Gerontology from a certification body (ANCC, AANP, ONCC, NBCHPN)
- Currently have DEA license and CRNP prescriptive authority by the State Board of Nursing
- Valid driver's license and current CPR certification
- Experience using Electronic Health Record systems, such as Tebra (Kareo)
Pay:
$115, $145,000.00 per year
