The German Medical Association is the leading organization of medical self-administration; it represents the professional interests of physicians in the Federal Republic of Germany.

As a working group of the 17 German Medical Associations, the German Medical Association (BÄK) actively participates in the health policy opinion-forming process of society and develops perspectives for a citizen-oriented and responsible health and social policy.

Medical Consultant (m/f/d)

We are looking for a medical consultant (m/f/d) for our Department - Science, Research and Ethics, to start as soon as possible.

Department 6 deals with medical-scientific and ethical issues, which are addressed in the honorary committees managed by the department, such as the Scientific Advisory Board of the BÄK or the Central Ethics Commission at the BÄK.

Your tasks

Independent handling of a wide range of medical and ethical issues, including medicallegal aspects
Development of guidelines for the German Medical Association, which are required by law, in particular according to the Transfusion Act, as well as opinions on legislative projects in the healthcare sector, in collaboration with honorary and fulltime members of committees such as the Scientific Advisory Board of the BÄK, the Central Ethics Commission at the BÄK, or the State Medical Associations
Participation in committees, as well as accompanying and moderating opinionforming processes
Cosupervision of the scientific committees of the German Medical Association and its permanent and ad hoc working groups
