Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
- Take and develop dental xrays
- Perform basic dental laboratory procedures
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and postoperative care instructions
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments
Qualifications:
- Aseptic technique: Knowledge of infection control protocols and ability to maintain a sterile environment
- Medical terminology: Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures
- Anatomy knowledge: Understanding of oral anatomy and dental structures
- HIPAA: Knowledge of patient privacy regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality
- X-Ray: Proficiency in taking dental xrays and ensuring proper image quality
- Assisting: Ability to provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures.
- Patient assessment: Ability to assess patients' oral health conditions and report findings to the dentist
Note:
Certification or licensure as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required.
Pay:
$ $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- No weekends
