_ Function:
_
The custodian is responsible for ensuring all areas of the building are properly cleaned, maintained, and sanitized. Additionally, they work with upper management to identify any potential safety hazards or areas needing repair.
_ Responsibilities:
_
- General cleaning and sanitizing of the common areas, restrooms, and cafeteria of the building
- Minor repairs and maintenance, such as hanging whiteboards or unclogging pipes
- Limited grounds maintenance, such as cleaning snow from sidewalks and debris from around the building
- Ensure heating and cooling systems are operational
- Maintain a neat and orderly custodial area, ensuring cleaning and maintenance supplies are stocked
- Assist in examining warehouse for safety hazards; report deficiencies to management
- Performs other related duties as assigned
_Qualifications:
_
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2 years prior experience in a similar position required
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds at a time
- Knowledge of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to perform basic repairs and operate power tools or equipment used in routine maintenance
- Applicants must pass the background check to be hired for the role
