- Certified Nurse Aides (CNA's) provide personal care, health-related services, and assist with activities of daily living. CNA's function under the direction, instruction and supervision of nursing staff. They attend to those who are being treated to manage illness and/or recovering from a procedure or surgical intervention. CNAs working/floating to PCU, IMCU or CCU units provide care for primarily adult patients who require cardiac monitoring. CNA's have a professional obligation to participate in committee activities, surveys, improvement initiatives and continuing education.
