Description
This interdisciplinary degree program combines elements of electrical engineering, classical mechanical engineering, and computer science. You will gain in-depth knowledge in the field of robotics and control technology and learn how to plan and implement automation concepts for manufacturing plants in the automotive industry. Future technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and projects in the field of Industry 4.0 play a major role.

Training contents at EBZ:

  • Basics in pneumatics, PLC technology, and robot programming
  • Planning of production plants for the automotive industry from the perspective of automation technology
  • Simulation of production processes as part of virtual commissioning
  • Participation in project execution, including commissioning of systems at the factory and at the customer's site
  • Preparation of practical work and the bachelor's thesis in the product area

Study contents at DHBW:

  • Technical mathematics and physics as well as computer science
  • Technical mechanics, manufacturing technology, and design theory
  • Basics of electrical engineering and measurement technology
  • Automation technology, control engineering, and mechatronic systems
