    Pay

    This position is a nonexempt position at pay grade 108.

    Attendance


    Non-rotating 40-hour work week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; must be available to work additional hours as needed.

    Overview


    The Administrative Support II processes travel arrangements and data entry for the Health Department staff using the INFOR travel module, ensuring compliance with city travel policies.

    They handle general office tasks, such as filing, copying, faxing, and customer service, while also managing open records requests and maintaining reports.

    Additionally, they serve as backup for other support staff and may take on additional duties as needed.

    Responsibilities


    • Process travel arrangements and travel data entry as INFOR proxy for Health Department staff.
    • Provides support to other staff on special projects requiring specific research and documentation of findings. Compiles data to create specific data basis when requested.
    • Partake in interdepartmental meetings to offer real process information for the purpose of identifying alternatives to updating process when needed, to ensure most efficient processes are established.
    • Maintain professional and technical knowledge and skills by keeping required certifications current.
    • Provide support as an essential personnel team member during Emergency Operating Center event.
    • Assist with Procurement requisition and receiver data entry duties.
    • Sort mail and answer phones to provide Departmental clients information on services available.
    • May be asked to perform other duties as assigned
    Qualifications


    • Requires high school diploma/GED
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience
    • A valid driver's license is required; successful out-of-state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire

    Application review and the City may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.
