Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Establishes and maintains relationships with customers to address issues concerning site performance and ensure customer requirements are met.
- Must be familiar with the manufacturing operation and understand the job duties and functions of each associate and ensure all duties are being carried out in a safe and productive manner.
- Heavy focus on developing capability and reliability of Man, Method, Machine/Mold foundation in our Manufacturing Operations.
- Promotes continuous improvement efforts and training programs aimed at delivering positive trends on performance KPI's. KPI's include safety, quality, manufacturing performance and overall financial performance.
- Leads manufacturing teams in Plant readiness for incoming projects. This includes coordinating efforts related to equipment moves/installations, infrastructure installs, and availability/training of personnel to staff and support the new program.
- Participates in Weekly New Projects meeting, and Program Specific Meetings to stay up to date on Project timelines and provide feedback on Plant readiness as needed.
- Supports Director of Operations in projecting monthly financial performance through Yield Reviews, Cost Management, and Inventory Management.
- Responsible for leading & participating in continuous improvement activities & tracking financial results.
- Review yield report and correct necessary variances.
- Responsible for conducting operation meetings, process reviews, and publishing and following up on action items, and is the driving force to keep the operation on schedule to meet performance targets.
- Effectively manages direct reports as assigned, through effective goal setting, coaching, and conducting performance evaluations. Capable of developing supervisory and management skills in subordinates.
- Review and approve labor management.
- Ensure company systems are in place, followed and properly maintained.
- Review corrective actions.
- Communicate, enforce, and maintain all company policies and procedures per the Employee Handbook.
- Works with the appropriate departments to process customer complaints, product rejections, or rework parts in a manner adequate to maintain operations, and related equipment.
- Assign actions items and followup on completion and hold people accountable.
- Establish and monitor plant performance by creating goals and reviewing tracking metrics.
- Develop and communicate plans to reduce scrap and manage regrind effectively.
- Ensure duties are defined, communicated, and met by direct reports.
- Review and investigate all accident reports.
- Verify compliance with all PM Management activities and revise/implement as necessary.
- Track, monitor and verify accuracy of RM, WIP and FG inventories.
- Ensure fair and consistent treatment of all employees by upholding policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as required.
